The Academy
TCS Academy is a lesson program for kids aged 5-12 years old to learn how to ride! In this program, the barn supplies the ponies and the children can come for lessons once or twice a week. We pride ourselves on developing a strong foundation for new riders. Our program is centered on fun and education. Students learn proper safety on and around the horses as well as learning correct technique and skills from day one.
Instructors:
Julia Granzow: Julia is the director of our lesson program. She is a lifelong equestrian and can put a smile on any kid's face. Her enthusiasm for teaching makes her the perfect person to start a riding career. Julia handles a strong majority of the teaching in the academy program.
Linda Roukis: Linda has over 50 years of teaching experience. She had a distinguished riding career and offers of wealth of knowledge to our young riders.
JP Roukis: JP is the head instructor at TCS. While his time is generally spent with the students who graduate from the academy program into leasing or owning a pony, his foundation having run lessons programs offers a unique benefit to all our students.
